There are so many fun things to add. I love adding books, bandaids, chalk, sunglasses or other fun accessories, cute erasers, crayons or any crafty type things.

I gave in to candy because my kid LOVES jellybeans and it's the only Easter candy I can stomach. But I also bought him a Megaconstrux Pokemon set (pokeballs = Easter eggs??) and a Minecraft x TreasureX set. I've been dutifully blowing out and eating scrambled eggs all week, in prepping for pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) making this week, something we started last year but seems all the more meaningful this time.

Say Wee is amazing btw. It saved my butt last year. And if they ever start carrying Liziqi products again, don't miss her chili oil noodles!

This describes our evening routines on more than one occasion...and we only have one kid!

Love your newsletter as it's always spot on to raising young kids. This year we're also adding temporary tattoos and stickers in the eggs, teddy grahams (cause I like to pretend those are better than cookies), PJs (which they'd get anyway for warmer weather but take the win) and a mini puzzle. I also think little coupons (my kids are too young) for special treats a la advent calendar could be fun for eggs - choose dinner, dessert at breakfast, choose family movie, some special outing etc. I've even heard of one for everyone having to eat dinner with their hands, then serving a funny food like spaghetti. Messy yes, but what kid doesn't want to see their parent breaking rules.

I always use Easter baskets as an opportunity to restock on "summer/outdoor fun" necessities - bubble wands, sidewalk chalk, pool towels, sunglasses, goggles, pool toys, etc.

This was very good and reminded me that no parent (including me) is alone in these struggles. Thank you.

We always do swimsuits and flip flops in Easter baskets. This year we are getting a few new story characters for their Tonieboxes too (basically a fun audiobook player for kids if you haven't heard of it). Temporary tattoos, stickers, and money are my favorite non-candy egg stuffers.
