The red white and royal blue movie is also excellent, btw!
Other favorites: the Brown Sisters trilogy by Talia Hibbert, anything by Rachel Lynn Solomon or Emily Henry, and if you are down for historical, all of Evie Dunmore’s league of extraordinary women books (suffragettes!)
Oh, and when I was first dipping toes into romance (around the time I read RWRB) I also really enjoyed Helen Hoang’s The Kiss Quotient, and Alexis Daria’s books. Kate Clayborn is another easy reading fave.
IDK if it’s technically romance, but I felt like The Royal We activated a similar pleasure center in my brain as RWRB. love them both! and just added both of your nonfiction recs to my library hold list!
I guess this is where I give props to my kid’s public school, daycare and pediatrician (in MA). We put my husband’s name and number first on all forms and they do reliably call him first. I do feel that I have to do more of the heavy lifting socially though or the kids miss out.
Jasmine Guillory novels are great, as well as Emily Henry!
Yes to all of this, a thousand times yes.
The Idea of You by Robinne Lee is a great romance novel!
This is How You Lose the Time War by Max Gladstone and Amal El-Mohtar. Another fave is The Brutal Truth by Lee Winter.
Youngna, am I remembering correctly that you recently read Miriam Toews’s All My Puny Sorrows? What did you think?
Yes! It's my fave Toews so far... gorgeous writing and a beautiful portrayal of a sister relationship, though also totally devastating (as a warning).

Yep to the list of things I’ve been doing the last few weeks as school started back here in Michigan.
