oh the olivia wilde curiosity / rabbithole is endlessly deep, especially given the (former) proximity as BK mom raising similar aged kids! imagine the PERMISSION (and also resources) to disappear into a monthslong creative project - as she did w/ don't worry darling - squarely mid-pandemic in joshua tree and proceed to fall in love with the world's biggest pop star. like, the most alt universe fantasy i could possibly imagine from my non-famous daily life in the trenches in brooklyn with 2 little kids, desperately trying to clear enough head space to be creative. anyway love & always relish these, thanks
But is it really a fantasy??? Or a nightmare? Between the public breakup/custody battles and the scrutiny of being said pop star’s gf, seems… like the ultimate lose-lose. Hope she is enjoying the ride???
haha, it's so true - that fantasy abruptly ended, and it looks like it's been absolute hell to pay ever since (and the film is surely a flop!!!). olivia looks pretty happy dancing semi-solo in the VIP on harry's tour though, i guess??!

Extra Yarn is such a great book. (And we like Pain and the Great One is our house, too -- I don't always love the strife, but it's honest!)
I also found Raising Raffi to be a welcome perspective. (And The Swimmers -- I don't even know where to begin. As a recreational swimmer at a community pool like the one in the book, I found the first third to be absolutely hilarious and dead-on. And then the rest of the book wrecked me, in the best way.)
Thanks for the input/output idea -- I seem to have entered a sudden input period over the past couple of weeks and it has been hard for me to accept, so I really appreciate the mental shift that it's a cycle, not something I'll be stuck in forever.
I enjoy your newsletter so much. Thank you for sharing with us. I'm also obsessed with your child's striped bedding! So cute.

I'm nervous about the movie release on her behalf. Harry's fans are already chomping at the bit to release some vitriol.

Pain and the Great One doesn't have quite the charm of Fudge, but still enjoy the family dynamics for sure.
Enjoy your inputting. It takes a lot of work to focus on the inputs too!
